I think it is very unfortunate that one of the closed offices is in Detroit. I cannot pass judgment on the Census Bureau because I know nothing about how it determined which offices were most effective. However, Detroit’s economy has been gutted by events of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, making it all the sadder when an employer leaves.
