I believe that avoiding refined foods is a first step to help lose weight. They could taste good, but refined foods include very little vitamins and minerals, making you try to eat more to have enough vitality to get over the day. Should you be constantly consuming these foods, transitioning to whole grain products and other complex carbohydrates will let you have more power while taking in less. Good blog post.
