Dr. Groves,
I started with the Census in April as an enumerator trainee, and worked in 3 separate Census operations this spring and summer: NRFU, VDC and NRFU-RES. I must preface my next statement by saying that in no way am I patting myself on the back, or tooting my own horn, so here goes. On a number of occasions, my CL stated to me that her supervisors at the LCO were impressed with the quantity/quality of work I was producing. Many of the techniques I was using to obtain interviews, or find people with the relevant knowledge about an address, were not taught in training. I ended up as the crew problem solver I was given all the most difficult EQ’s refusals, addresses no one else seemed to be able to find, apartment buildings with uncooperative management/owners, etc. Despite this, no one asked me how I managed to accomplish this. When the final operation in our AA was completed, NRFU-RES, I was sent a termination notice in the mail and that was that. No exit interview/questionnaire of any type. Does the Census interview enumerators, CL’s or CLA’s after the fact to ask them about their experiences as Census employees? If not, why not?
Thank you,
3X Enumerator
Hi Beth Anne,
I am an Elementary Education major at Penn State University and your webcast was amazing to watch. If everyone had the same amount of motivation to learn as you, I think there’d be a lot more A+ students out there. Have you ever considered continuing your education in a Masters or PhD program? It seems like you had a lot of motivaters along the way to getting your college degree. Besides your mom, is there anyone in particular who really helped you out and motivated you? Best of luck to you in whatever you take on next!
My spouse and I stumbled over here different page and thought I might as well check things out. I like what I see so now i’m following you. Look forward to looking at your web page yet again.
You have very nice blog here. Only one thing what I noticed, it was very hard to find it from google (at least with my search term). You should use plugin like that: http://bit.ly/11UpQn2 It will get you better ranking in google. I use it all my wp blogs. If you have any problems to use it, just send me email and I try to help.

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and adore learning more on this subject. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog site with more data? It truly is extremely helpful for me.
