I appreciate it as a historical footnote and an early example of social commentary and a seed of feminist thought; but it’s not worth studying. There is a finite amount of time available to teach literature and English to secondary students, and there are MANY? better ways for them to spend their time. . . Why not read selections of works — like case extracts in law school?
