In realtà le cose che ho imparato durante il 2011, che in alcuni momenti mi ha ricordato i miei 1989 e 1996, sono molte di più, per fortuna (o ahimè…). Ma le regole del web sono sacre, quindi la lista sarà delle dieci cose che ho imparato e che più hanno influenzato questo anno appena terminato. Rigorosamente random. Questa non è una classifica di gradimento. Ok?
Le 10 cose che il DeA ha imparato nel 2011:
1. Ho imparato che la libidine di fare una dieta e riuscire a mantenerla si manifesta prima con la bilancia che sembra rotta, ma questa volta con l’8 davanti e poi con una regolarità nell’andare di corpo che manco quando avevo quindici anni. Così tutte le mattine ti ricordi quanto sei stato bravo.
2. Ho imparato, ma già un po’ lo sapevo, che il mestiere di genitore ha un paio di chiavi di lettura fondamentali. Prima fra tutte la capacità di riuscire (e quando i figli sono parecchi il caos un po’ ti aiuta) a pronunciare il meno possibile – a noi stessi – la frase “Io alla sua età…!”. Se annulliamo qualsiasi termine di paragone, potremo poi tifare, con fatica certo, ci mancherebbe, che i nostri figli diventino sia quanto di più diverso da noi, che delle nostre copie spiccicate, ma migliori. Così un domani (un dopodomani va) potremmo spegnerci più tranquilli, con un ghigno di soddisfazione per aver raggiunto l’immortalità.
3. Ho imparato, ed è stata dura, che probabilmente nel giro di un paio d’anni scompariranno le “Dress Shirts/Classic Cotton” di Brooks Brothers, per lasciare definitivamente campo libero alle più volgari “Non Iron”. E trovo personalmente intollerabile che questa scelta così disgraziata sia avvenuta sotto la direzione tutta italiana di Del Vecchio Jr (osservate nella foto sopra la naturalezza delle pieghe “Classic”. Una “Non Iron” mi avrebbe impedito tale torsione del collo).
4. Ho imparato una volta per tutte, perché c’ho provato per l’ultima volta a darmi un tono, che i tortellini in brodo per tutto il tempo che mi rimarrà da vivere io li mangerò sempre alla stessa maniera. Prima mi bevo tutto il brodo e poi mi divoro tre-quattro tortellini alla volta schiacciando con la lingua il loro interno sul mio palato. Per poi ingerire tutto insieme il bolo della felicità. Amen.
5. Ho imparato a memoria “Meus Caros Amigos” di Chico Buarque (1976), colonna sonora della mia fine d’anno. E per questo ringrazio il Paròn, ovunque si trovi.
6. Ho imparato, come dice il mio analista (WOW, per una vita ho sognato di poter dire anche io “Come dice il mio analista”!), che forse il mio vedere sempre, S.E.M.P.R.E., il bicchiere mezzo pieno, mi ha fatto accumulare nel tempo un po’ troppi vuoti. Bene, preso atto di questa critica situazione, manifestatasi puntualmente a ridosso dei quaranta, non mi preoccupa invecchiare. Anzi, credo che migliorerò invecchiando.
7. Ho imparato di aver esagerato con il social networking negli ultimi anni. Mi ha preso un po’ la mano. Ma ho imparato anche che senza di voi non riesco a stare. Senza il poter raccontare pubblicamente quello che vedo, io, sto peggio. Anche se quello che racconto non interessa a nessuno. E’ che a me interessa scriverlo, non che qualcuno lo legga. E quindi un po’ di attenzione in più da parte mia sarà necessaria. Mettiamola così, qui leggerete sempre tutta la verità, ma non vi scriverò mai più tutta la mia verità. Un po’, la terrò per me. Quindi la cosa 8 e la cosa 9, non le saprete mai.
10. Ho cominciato ad imparare, ma ancora ce ne vorrà, che mettere apposto le cose può essere il gesto più alto e soddisfacente al quale si possa ambire. Che non esiste una regola scritta che spieghi cosa è giusto e cosa no. Ma le cose in disordine, quasi sempre sono sbagliate, se perdurano. E voler mettere apposto le cose può anche voler dire tentare, quando possibile, di ridurre la distanza tra quello che siamo e quello che vorremmo essere. Con buona pace di chi ci vuole male. Che qualcuno in giro, lo trovi sempre.
