Sabato sera sono stato per la prima volta alla Scala di Milano. C’è sempre una prima volta per un sacco di cose. E le prime volte lasciano, in genere, sempre bei ricordi. Anche questa volta è andata così.
Era l’ultima replica del Don Giovanni di Mozart, ed è stato uno spettacolo vero.
Con Don Giovanni, noi maschietti italiani un po’ bigotti cresciuti col rosarietto da dieci in mano a scuola dalla suore, ci rapportiamo, nel corso della nostra vita, cambiando continuamente idea. Da piccolo mi ricordo che la storia di questo peccatore incallito mi portava a giudicarlo male, punto e basta. Con il passare del tempo, la severità di chi non sa un cazzo della vita, si è diluita nella compassione, “Poveraccio”. Negli ultimi tempi invece, da quando dieci anni fa ho avuto l’occasione di poterlo vedere per la prima volta dal vivo, siamo quasi diventati amici. L’ho da prima invidiato, beh, cavoli, il vecchio Don Giovanni fa veramente come je pare! E poi, l’altra sera, immerso in quel palco immenso, il più imponente del mondo, con tutti che gli davano addosso, mi sarei alzato per andarlo a difendere. Ovviamente si sprecheranno le vostre osservazioni riguardo la mia invidia per il suo catalogo. Ma, se mi fate finire, non è questo il punto.
Il punto è che lui, peraltro esplicitato magistralmente nell’interpretazione di uno svedesone di due metri perfetto, non ha il chiodo fisso delle donne. Ha il chiodo fisso di fare quello che lo fa star bene. Ha il chiodo fisso della sua vita! In quanti abbiamo chiaro il nostro chiodo fisso?
Ok, non si controlla, ed uccide. Ma cazzo, è un’opera lirica. Il messaggio arriva uguale.
La parte più romantica però, spetta a quello sfigato di Don Ottavio, com’è giusto che sia. In fondo è pur sempre una storia d’Amore:
“Dalla sua pace la mia dipende;
Quel che a lei piace vita mi rende,
Quel che le incresce morte mi dà.
S’ella sospira, sospiro anch’io;
È mia quell’ira, quel pianto è mio;
E non ho bene, s’ella non l’ha.”
La parte meno romantica, invece, spetta ai vecchi milanesi ultra centenari. Nelle vicinanze del guardaroba, l’odore di canfora, naftalina e dentiere, mi ha ricordato il foyer dell’Auditorium di Roma. E’ un paese senza speranza, quello che dispensa Cultura solo a chi è nato prima della cultura stessa.
