My mother gave me a teaspoonful when I was a child whenever I had a stomachache. Castor oil works well as laxative but it is a very heavy, thick, oily substance that tastes terrible but is effective. She tried mixing it in juice, etc but was just mire volume to try to swallow. Better to take a spoonful all at once while swallowing immediately and quickly chase it with orange jive or colasomething acidic to cut oil & taste!
