I attended a Catholic School, and in no way was I taught to hate or believe that people of other religions were not- as you state “really nice”. In fact, I had to laugh at your reference to the Hell’s Angels, as one of my required reading books in my senior year was “Hell’s Angels”. Oh! and guess what else? They even taught us about evolution (gasp!).. . I do believe though, that I was placed in a school where EVERY parent was concerned and supportive of their child’s education, and did not have to put up with the nonsense and time-wasting that is prevalent in Public Schools (which, by the way I am currently employed as a Math teacher–so I do know “the other side”). The teachers (yes, some nuns and priests) worked us students hard, and I found that I was way ahead of my public school peers when entering college. . . So, no; I do not think that it is child abuse.
