You so not say how many miles you have on the car, but that price is in line with wholesale value for they year and model.. . Carmax will pay you wholesale value for your car. Any dealer who is interested in buying your car is going to pay about the same amount. Carmax works on volume. They will buy any car, and if it is not something that they want for their retail business, they sell it to another dealer. If they do not get yours for the price they say, they will buy something else. They really do not car if they purchase your car or not.. . You can get more for your car if you sell it retail yourself, but you have to go through the hassles of advertising, and dealing with prospective buyers! It is your choice if it is worth it to you!!
