Currently it seems like WordPress is the preferred blogging platform available right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
This answer to your question is just my opinion but, now I don’t think it’s normal. I think that the Mother is indulging herself and should be responsible enough to wean this school age child from the breast to a cup right away if not sooner. It’s not teaching him anything nor is it increasing his? IQ. He needs to be taught that there comes a time when you don’t drink from a bottle nor a breast. He sit at a table and eat and drink with others who are old enough to do it.
